The Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya, on Monday, received the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, and members of his management team during a quality assurance visit to the Ikorodu Campus of LASUSTECH.
The visit formed part of FUOYE’s monitoring and quality assurance activities under the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Conversion Programme for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders, being implemented in partnership with LASUSTECH.

Professor Ogunwole appreciated LASUSTECH management for sustaining the mutually beneficial partnership between both institutions, particularly its support for the B.Sc. Conversion Programme. He explained that the delegation was at the Ikorodu Campus to inspect facilities and assess the programmes operated under the partnership to ensure compliance with required standards for quality university education.
He added that FUOYE remains open to exploring further areas of collaboration with LASUSTECH, given the positive outcomes of the existing relationship.
In his remarks, Professor Odusanya thanked the delegation for the visit and assured them of LASUSTECH’s full cooperation and necessary support during the exercise.

He disclosed that the partnership has been mutually beneficial, hence the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which will run until 31 December 2027, with FUOYE expected to commence admission for the final set of students under the partnership by November 2026.
He further disclosed that upon the expiration of the MoU, LASUSTECH would commence its own programmes in the relevant areas, building on the experience and institutional capacity developed through the partnership.
Professor Odusanya stressed that the essence of the B.Sc. Conversion Programme must go beyond enabling HND holders to obtain university degrees, emphasising the need for quality education, practical knowledge and hands-on training that equip beneficiaries with relevant industry competence.
